The filter is placed between the two 5 liter containers. It is a gravity filtration system, the water passes through a filter from the top to the bottom container. There is no need for electricity.
It is compact and can be adapted anywhere. Stable, you can place it in a border of an element, a cabinet. Its dimensions: 42.3cm x 22.5cm x 32.5cm.
No technician is needed to operate the water cooler, you just need to clean the Pimag filter once a year.

The patent that Nikken has developed for the water cooler is Pimag ® water
Nikken assumes that despite the water treatments, there will be residues in the water, such as pesticides, lime, chlorine and many more.
And since water is one of the ingredients we consume the most during the day, it is essential that it be of the best possible quality.
Nikken therefore wanted to create a fountain incorporating the most efficient filter possible. This is why the filter is larger than what you usually see.
All the elements have been assembled precisely on top of each other.
What are these water cooler filtration elements ?
Activated carbon
Black in color and located on the upper part, we find the activated carbon.
Activated carbon is recognized to be one of the best water filtration systems. Activated charcoal is actually an ancient method widely used by the Japanese, it is the most natural way to obtain purified water. It is credited with the ability to retain certain molecules.
Ceramic beads:
They filter and rebalance the water to obtain a neutral pH.
Silica sand:
On the lower part of the water fountain, silica sand is placed below the ceramic beads.
Silica sand is very useful and renowned for capturing particles from water. It is a set of minerals that by its micro size (25 to 50 microns) prevents the finest waste from passing.
Regarding its operation, it is very simple, the water passes through the sand and the particles are found trapped in the layers of sand.
The ion exchange resin:
The ion exchange resin is one more efficient system for removing limescale from water.
Mineral stones :
Mineral stones are located on the lower part of the water fountain to energize the water. Magnetism is part of Japanese culture. Between the filter and the mineral stones, the Pimag Waterfall system makes it possible to obtain pure and alkaline water by regulating the pH of the water with the stones.
Why did Nikken want to develop such a powerful water fountain ?
The reality is what we see every day, and that is the large-scale use of chemicals. Whether in food or in water treatment. Despite the treatment of water from municipal services, there may still be harmful elements present in drinking water. THE GRAVITY FILTRATION SYSTEM
The PiMag Waterfall ® drinking water fountain filters water thanks to gravity through a system of 2 tanks positioned one on top of the other.
The first tank at the top (filling tank: 5 liters) allows you to pour tap water,
the tank located below (Supply tank: 5.5 liters) allows water to be collected after filtration.
Water flows between Pi ceramic spheres during this process. The final step involves a bed of mineral stones regulating the pH of the water to make it alkaline.
Also useful, the Nikken fountain has a water tank on the top, giving you the option of filling it with a water pitcher. Fill the top part, then gravity does its part to filter the water.
* This gravity system works without electricity.
Not cumbersome, you can therefore use the filter fountain at home, but also when traveling for example in a motorhome, for a party, etc. It is not connected to a water supply and a very convenient solution.
EFFICIENT FILTERS THANKS TO PATENTED NIKKEN TECHNOLOGY
In the Nikken home drinking water fountain, two elements have been added to reproduce pure water:
The spare filter cartridge needs to be replaced every 90 days or 900 liters. The cartridge contains natural activated carbon and pi ceramic beads (Nikken patent) which increase the pH of the water and decrease the ORP (Oxidation Reduction Potential).
Pimag mineral pearls release oxygen and minerals while regulating the pH of the water. They should be replaced every year.
With this double-acting system, Nikken offers a high-end product that will ensure optimal performance.
After filtration, water is not the same at all. The water is flatter and softer.
INSTRUCTIONS :
Use cold water only.
When you receive your Pimag Waterfall, wash the elements as well as the mineral stones.
Place the filter correctly according to the coverslip. Please feel free to watch my video above, everything is detailed.
Fill the upper tank with water. Filtered PiMag® water is collected in the lower supply tank.
